Hailing from small-town Lone Elm, Missouri, Wendy Young is our Director of Clinical Services. Wendy holds an Associate Degree of Science from Metro Business College and specializes in medical testing, specifically phlebotomy and electrocardiograms (ECGs). If you ask why she entered the medical field, she’ll tell you it was the desire to follow in her family’s footsteps. Her grandmother was an LPN and her aunt retired from the Air Force as Lieutenant Colonel. With strong women influencing her life, she decided to follow suit. Wendy worked in other professions, but her heart always led her back to caring for people.
Wendy also holds the titles of proud Wife, Mom of two daughters and Grandma of two adorable grandsons. Spending time with her family is first on her list. If it’s a beautiful day, you might find her fishing, swimming or cruising in the family’s ‘71 Dodge Dart Swinger.
Wendy is an avid college football and basketball fan, an antique car enthusiast and a persistent competitor. She has entered Lone Elm’s Annual Memorial Day Turtle Race for more than 40 years and has yet to win a trophy. Maybe next year!
